Brave sleep for
brave kids.

A complete bedtime programme that transforms nighttime worries into courage — one patrol at a time.

Every child deserves
to feel safe.

Nighttime worries are real. For children between four and eight, fear of the dark, of shadows, of something watching from the corner, is one of the most common experiences in childhood.

Most approaches tell children their fears are not real. Children do not believe this — and they feel dismissed by it.

Starlight Guardians takes a different approach. We give children agency, ritual, and a sense of identity that transforms how they relate to their fear.

They are not scared children hoping to get through the night. They are trained Guardians, on patrol, protecting their own space.

The Commander believes you are ready.

Six steps.
Every night.

Your child performs the same patrol each bedtime. Ritual creates safety. Repetition builds confidence.

01
📜
Sound off
Recite the Guardian Oath — a short declaration of courage, spoken aloud at the start of every patrol.
02
Charge the tokens
Hold each glow token to the Guardian Crest light, count to five. Ten tokens, ten counts — about three minutes.
03
🌟
Deploy the tokens
Place tokens around the room. Under the bed, in the corners, on the windowsill. The child decides — it is their tactical call.
04
💜
Activate the Guardian Stone
Three taps, then place it under the pillow. The stone grows stronger the longer it is kept.
05
📓
Sign the Patrol Log
Tick each item, sign their name, complete the prompt: "Tonight my room is..." Patrol complete.
06
🌙
Lights out
Tokens glow softly around the room. The Guardian Crest glows on the nightstand. The room is secured.

Everything a Guardian

I protect my room, my dreams, and my sleep.
I am braver than any shadow.
I am stronger than any worry.

What parents
ask us.

Does this tell children monsters are real? +
No. Starlight Guardians never confirms or denies what children are afraid of. The language throughout is deliberately open: "sometimes worries can feel like monsters" and "brave children are exactly what you are." The child applies the programme to whatever their fear actually is.
How long does the patrol take each night? +
Around 10–15 minutes once the child knows the routine. The token charging takes about three minutes. The rest is placement, the oath, and signing the log. It becomes faster as it becomes familiar.
What if my child loses a token or the stone? +
Replacement tokens come in every refill pack. For the Guardian Stone, contact us at hello@spooky.nz and we will send a replacement.
Is the auto-ship option a commitment? +
No. Auto-ship sends the next refill pack automatically before the current Patrol Log runs out. Cancel anytime — no questions asked.
My child is 9 or 10 — is this suitable? +
The programme is designed for 4–8 year olds. We are developing a separate programme for 9–12 year olds. Many children up to age 10 engage well with Starlight Guardians, particularly those who enjoy ritual and identity aspects.
Is my child's information kept private? +
We only hold a Guardian name (which can be a chosen pseudonym), your email, and shipping address. We never share this information with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Every Guardian
